Bought these for my daughter who thought she wouldn't be able to use them until next winter but even as they are a little big we could it Use them for sledding this year. They didn't fall off, and it wasn't difficult for her to climb the mountain in them. She didn't trip over it. The insole looks like thick wool and it seems it will be comfortable and warm, but I certainly haven't tried it on myself. The size and color I needed turned out to be the lowest price of all the options, which is very nice! However, if this were not the case, I would probably pass up the purchase and try
