Let me start with why I bought this product. I have a pull out fabric sofa where the seat cushions don't slide out. It was never an issue until I got a second cat and the two started the 2018 Great Territory War where they started claiming spots in the house as their own. Long story short, they eventually hit it off and everything is fine now, but after that the only place I could never get rid of the smell of their markings was on the fabric sofa. If you've never sniffed cat urine, this is the worst. I've tried everything. I've used sprays meant to eat organic materials, I've used an upholstery tool on my carpet vacuum, I've scrubbed, I've aired, etc. The smell has never gone away, particularly in those two places. Once I found this product quickly I was ready to try anything so I bought two of these, put them directly on the areas and let them sit. A few days later they did NOTHING to fix the smell. I was furious at being scammed out of desperation for $50 and was ready to ask for a refund but then I started looking at the 1 star reviews and in particular saw 1 message which was answered by the seller. It mentioned placing them in a place where there is a constant flow of air circulating. I didn't put much stock into this at first as I already had an air purifier in this room that circulated the air, so I thought I might meet those criteria, but since this was the seller's top recommendation I decided to experiment. I took both bags, put them back right there and then took the air purifier and put it right on top so the air goes straight through the bags onto the couch. And that's how it works wonderfully. The smell is GONE! Well, mind you, this is NOT how the product description says it should work. But here's how it finally started eliminating odors for me. I argued to downgrade this review based on that fact but honestly I'm so happy the smell is finally GONE after trying everything else I could think of that I don't care haha. It worked! Hope this works for you too.
