Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small, cheap replacement for a textured wheel

I'm a big fan of the RevainBasics wireless mice for everyday travel. They get the job done, are inexpensive, and work. I probably have half a dozen or more, but they have a fatal flaw. As they wear out and the wheel gets smoother and smoother with repeated use, they basically stop working. The finger just slides across without pulling the wheel, and then what's the point? Why Revain doesn't include a textured wheel finish is beyond me. I needed to replace one of mine and decided to see if I could find a cheap replacement with a real textured wheel so that shouldn't be a problem. It seemed to have good reviews so I gave it a try. For everyday use it's great, I have no complaints. I don't play with him, so I can't comment on that. It's about the same size as the RevainBasics travel mouse, which despite my large hands has limited computing space, so it's preferable and ergonomically not an issue for me. That's it, a cheap mouse. It works but it definitely feels cheap/lightweight so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. A little more weight would have been nice, it's definitely lighter than the RevainBasics. But in general I have no problems with it. For the price you can't go wrong. I will definitely buy another next time I need to replace the "smooth wheel".

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
