just received this today. I ordered a jacket for my mother. I'm usually a small size and although she usually wears a medium size, she's actually a bit slimmer than me. Based on the preliminary reviews I ordered a large when I would have ordered a medium size for her but she insisted on a large size so she could layer underneath. And I'm so glad I ordered the large because it runs small. Overall, the jacket feels great and warm. There are deep zip pockets on the outside as well as inside pockets on both sides, ideal for our travels. The only thing that bothered me was there wasn't a bag in the gear that we both expected to pack.
