I often take dogs to work in my car. I recently bought a 2009 Honda Element which is very "dog friendly". However, the car's tailgate was very slippery as the dogs jumped up to get into the rear cargo area. The first dogs to try weren't satisfied with either getting in or out, as their paws couldn't get on the smooth surface of the tailgate. I bought this anti-slip tape and stuck it to the tailgate in small strips. One or two popped up first, but after I perfected my application process (and used a manufacturer-recommended seam roller), the tape held up with no issues. It offers just the grip I needed and the dogs are a lot happier, not to mention a lot safer to get in and out of.
