They rub the area over my son's heels (between the heel and ankle) until it's damp when he wears them and then it takes about a good week to heal. I checked and right there between the back of the heel and the ankle there is a hard/rough stitching and thick stitching. Pooh. He still likes to wear them best, so I have to put some band-aids on him first and hope they stay put. If they were softer and smoother at this point so they wouldn't tear my son's skin I would give them 5 stars.
