Review on Flash Furniture Ergonomic Reclining Slide Out Furniture for Home Office Furniture by Azizah Jefferson

Defective design, serious problem!

This product has been used for less than a year and it was a complete failure. The weight of the chair is well below the manufacturer's specification of 205 lbs. The main problem is that the tilt function is adjustable from the right side. This means that when you recline (as it should) there is an inherent twisting force on the control lever side of the backrest. This, combined with the horrific weld, ultimately leads to very early product failure. As I lay back one day, I noticed that the back seemed "relaxed". The bolts used to work loose on their own, so I decided to just tighten the hex nuts that held the backrest in place. When I removed the covers I noticed that the entire mount was "floppy". Realizing the screws were tight and the backing wobbly, I decided to open the vinyl cover. Then I noticed that the bracket that attached the back of the chair to the control knob had broken off completely from the back reinforcement. Other downsides to this chair include cheap upholstery that almost flattens out after less than a year of use. The vinyl armrests are already cracking. Just a terrible product. , the first 4 months I really liked this chair. Then it just started to fall apart, because the true quality of the chair can only be seen after a long period of use. I strongly advise against buying this chair unless you are willing to replace it in less than a year.
