I use this cable for car radios. It's quite high quality, the only thing that bothered me was the layer of cardboard like material between the shell and the real copper strands, I've never seen this before, but it seems to work pretty well with my stereo. It's a lot cheaper than buying real car audio wiring, which is pretty much the same, just with a more flexible cover. If you are using a system that consumes a lot of power, please purchase this material. I'm sure it's also very good for welding, it's just that I don't use it so can't say for sure, but as I said it's definitely high quality pure copper.
