Review on Scosche SAT69: Upgrade Your Toyota's Sound System with 6x9'' to 6.5''-6.75'' Adapter (Pair) by Kevin Carr

This is a simple one-piece adapter for installing a 6.5 or 6.75 speaker into a factory 6x9 hole. Alignment of all holes was good. I like that the speaker mounting ring doesn't protrude too far (about 3/4 inch) so a gap in the door skin isn't a problem. I installed a 6.5" JBL GTO608C 2-way component woofer and the holes lined up well. The plastic flexes a bit, a little more than the factory mount due to the lack of stiffeners. This can cause hum/rattle problems. I placed Dynamat 10455 Xtreme Bulk Pack 9 sheets on either side of the adapter to help with this. A better solution might be to stick a styrofoam strip on the back between the adapter and the door. Otherwise a quality item at a good price. I am satisfied with how my installation went with this product.
