Review on ๐Ÿ”ช John Boos Block Maple Wood Edge Grain Cutting Board, 20x15x1.25 Inches - Versatile Reversible Chop-N-Slice Board by Emily Wilson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good, but not so good

I haven't used this board enough to say if it's going to split. But after three days of heavy use, slicing up a brisket in my grill with a 12-inch Dexter Russell slicer, this board is severely cut. So much so that I'm not sure she'll pass a health check. Two handcrafted boards I bought from Amish craftsmen a few years ago look brand new compared to this one. And these boards were used HIGH. I may not know my tree, but I hoped for the best from the maple. Update after a few weeks of use, terrible board, very warped, badly cut so I'm struggling to clean it properly. This must be disposed of. And hey neurosurgeon, the description says it's an end cap! I see no difference in 1/4 inch thickness. Nothing compares to the quality of the boards I have received from some of the Amish craftsmen that have also been heavily used in the home.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Vulgarity
