If you are military/ex-soldiers and are looking for a knitted hat instead of the standard wool hat. One that can fully cover your ears when unfolded, or just fold once to still keep the tips of your ears warm. without a few extra items dangling from the crown and without a pompom at the top. Look at that hat! It's snug but not too tight, looks well made and doesn't look like it will stretch much over time. It's thick enough to keep my bald head warm but not too thick. I can easily use it under my mountain bike helmet without feeling like it's cutting off oxygen to my brain, or I can wear it under my balaclava with no discomfort (i.e. and tight enough to not move and head to head fall). when I fold or remove my balaclava). Conclusion: I would like to buy several. if I had more than one grape to keep warm.
