I have 5 barkers and a lab mix who barks at strange dogs when I walk them and also from our backyard. I was desperate after trying everything to achieve quietness in the house and make walking less stressful. My last try was to carry around an aluminum can filled with coins to shake when they bark. This worked for about 30 seconds each time. Last week I decided to try this doggy don't thing with full intentions of returning it if it doesn't work. OMG, that's a miracle! The day it arrived I put the batteries in and waited to try it. Five minutes later, in the middle of another bark feast, I pushed the button and ALL 6 of my dogs fell silent. Then (as instructed) I said "quietly" in a calm voice, and then praised her. I only had to use it once that day before just the word "quiet" worked. The next day I took the device with me on our daily walk. As soon as we met another dog, my mutt started growling and whining; I pushed the button, said "quietly," and complimented her. Hallelujah worked! For the rest of the week, when I say "quiet," it's immediately quiet and all my babies run to me for love and kisses (and sometimes treats) as a reward for shutting up.
