. and i actually thought i screwed up my fiskar scissors, they got dumber after i tried to sharpen them. So I ran there and started reading all the reviews and several people detailed how they got it working for them. And I got it. I just haven't done it often enough! I ran the blades maybe 3 times then tried to cut a piece of fabric and it just slipped between the blades. (I should mention here that these scissors are actually over 20 years old and have NEVER been used for fabric, I used to be a paper crafter!). I counted every shot, tried 15. the fabric (a small piece of old leaf) is cut through but not quite perfect. so on for 10 more strokes. And these kids are just as hot as when I bought them, if not hotter! Now I could use them for fabric, but I have "good" fabric scissors, so it will remain paper scissors for the pattern. But what about the sharpener? It works GREAT! These scissors were EXTREMELY blunt, they folded the paper instead of cutting it. and now cut the fabric! WITHOUT expensive sharpening services. Yes, very happy with this little devil! It was a great purchase, at a great price, and it WORKS!
