Great results at a low price

I don't think there is a better value lens for the G line cameras. The image stabilization on this lens rivals that of my Canon 100-300 and still produces very good images for video up to 300. It might not be the best in low light, but it does the job and doesn't break. Bank. The zoom is a little tight initially, but softens after use to appear smooth enough for video. The lens seems a bit heavy on the body so make sure you have a stable video tripod as the Gorilla will not be very stable for zoom work. The lens hood is the perfect size and you can still use lens caps without removing the lens hood. Updated January 2018 This lens captures some of the best long-distance wildlife shots I could hope for in such a small and light format. The video comes out sharp, clean and sharp, and the autofocus is very fast. It produces great bokeh and the stabilization is on par or better than my larger Canon lenses. Completely impressed.
