The product is good, but be careful, you can get refurbished packaging even if you buy a new product. I could tell from the way the tape was used that it had been used and repackaged (like a typical consumer return). I also noticed that it wasn't fully glued. Here is the final confirmation that it was used - there was a residue of dirt in the form of a fine powder in the vacuum cylinder, which was also not cleaned. I had an old but similar version of this product that lasted 4-5 years so I bought this one. Love the product so 4 stars down 1 star - hate the fact that Revain/Hoover sold me a refurbished product as new.
