Soft and high quality, easy to put on and take off. I like that there is no separate inner lining that makes it difficult for children to put the boots on and off. They're not too bulky and do a good job of keeping feet warm and dry. Didn't realize they had a rope that needed to be tied, from the pictures it looks more like a bungee to me. I paid for expedited shipping and they arrived in 6 days. I will buy another pair to keep at school. They are true to size, my daughter wears a 11 or 12 in most shoes, 12 fits her perfectly. They fit snugly to heal but loosen up after a pair of socks. They don't pinch your fingers. TO UPDATE. My daughter has had them for 3 winter months and they are still in great condition. She also gets them through the steps and plays a lot in the wet snow and mud.
