Unfortunately the bed arrived with the headboard and footboard posts bent and a few scratches. It was in the box so it was most likely production related rather than shipping. My husband and I had to be very careful when trying to bend and straighten the decorative posts. They are very thin, hollow and delicate, so now they crumple all the time. It was too much work to send this back and replacement parts are unlikely. I don't feel that this bed is structurally sound and appears to be made from fairly flimsy materials. Luckily for us, this is for a five-year-old who doesn't carry much weight.
