Very light for such a large nailer, this gun drives 2 1/2" nails with ease. I prefer the aluminum magazine over the gun the new fancy plastic designs and the nail guide glides smoothly and firmly. The trigger is also smooth without the judder that some cheaper models exhibit and the sequential trigger selector is just as smooth.I only use Lucas Air Tool Oil after years of using others ..Lucas Oil really sticks to the parts and never knocks out like some oils do.For new guns I add 10-15 drops of Lucas then hammer in about 25 nails then add 5 more drops and repeat.uses oil and has an aluminum magazine were two big selling points for this Makita Oil-free designs just don't last long before the seals fail, they do d Lucas lubricated air tools will last for years. sequential trigger selection t along with dry fire blocking function. The entire gun just exudes quality with snug fitting yet smoothly functioning parts. Craftsmen who work with tools on a daily basis will understand these qualities. with proper care.kd
