Terrible, what I received is either from a third party manufacturer or the production has changed in recent years. Other later reviews giving low scores are correct. I have original IM socks with a seam on the sides and bottom. In my photo you can see it's in the middle. I was hesitant to buy because of the negative reviews, but decided anyway. I installed this filter sock on my bathtub faucet based on the negative reviews. I let the bath run for a while, first cold, then warm/hot, then cold again. I did this because I thought the negative reviews might be due to another frustration with the company as this product seems to have been/was very well reviewed. I made a mistake a few minutes after installing it on my system. I've seen my fish try to eat even though I didn't put any food in the tank. They tried to eat every particle that sock spewed back into the system. I immediately pulled the sock out and used a fine mesh to try to pull out as much as possible.
