My wife and I built this for the kids room in a couple of evenings after work. The instructions were clear and no parts were missing, but putting it all together is a two man job! Some sections are heavy once assembled and you will need to lift the smaller one about 3 or 4 feet off the ground to place it on the larger bottom bunk. So if you have trouble lifting bulky items, this might be a good solution. The idea is to ask a friend or family member for help at this stage. Attaching the ladder to the edge of the bed was the only part I had a little trouble with. However, no complaints from the kids using them yet! They're really solid and appear to be really well designed. The top bunk supported my weight with no issues when I tested it. Overall I think it was a good purchase and I would have no hesitation in recommending it if you are looking for a double bed rather than a double bed.
