My daughter thought it was the cutest thing! She wore it to school on very cold days and played in the snow. The hat fitted perfectly and she said she felt warm and comfortable in it. The drawstring adjusts the position of the hood around the face, protecting against the wind. The only problem we had was the face mask. I know it's a balaclava but as it's for kids I thought it would fit more. She is very tall but with a small face size. On cold days you have to pull the hood tight over it so that the wind doesn't blow. At the same time, the mask just under the eyes tightened and began to bother. Also, it was so close to her face that it was difficult for her to breathe through it for long periods of time. It would be much better if you could unzip the zipper or button a little and fold the excess fabric.
