.reduces product waste, BUT.

These silicone "brushes" really do what they promise: easy cleaning and reduced product consumption. HOWEVER, RI has found that they make it difficult to spread the face mask evenly across the face for exactly the same reason they are easy to clean - the product doesn't stick to it. It kind of makes me feel like I'm sprinkling the icing on the cake (i.e. how does it come out in fluffy waves when there's more icing in some places than others?). I find that my mini face brush (with bristles) actually works better for even and fairly thin coverage on my face. Where you save on product waste with a silicone brush, I have a feeling you're wasting more of it if you try to spread it evenly across your face. So perhaps you act only where the waste stops. but who knows, maybe that's just my experience. I think these "brushes" can still be useful for blending DIY face products or for applying first scoops of face blends to the face before spreading with a standard brush. I'm also looking at the possibility that the thickness or thinness of the face blend can affect how well they appear *shrugs*. I will try again in the future. If I find they perform better than my first impression I will change my rating. ********** UPDATED September 3, 2019: So I went back and tried using these brushes again. In doing so, I found out exactly why they don't work as well as a bristle brush - too hard. If you are working on a flatter part of the face, such as B. the cheeks or forehead, then this works "well". However, they cannot move around curved areas (such as around the nose, eyes, jawbones) as easily and efficiently as a bristle brush. For my personal use I will use them as a "dipper" for packing creams/skin products into small travel containers when preparing for a trip.
