Proceed With Care

First of all I love these stools. I love Oribel PortaPlay - when our little one was small enough to walk in she happily moved from toy to toy. One day she got too big for it and we turned her into a table and left some toys in it and she played with it and used the table as a table. This is an amazing product - I always recommend it to new parents. The problem with stools is that the legs have somewhat sharp edges. So if your child turns the stool upside down or picks it up and walks around with it (both are very typical things children do with a chair), they risk injury as they inevitably trip and fall. The legs don't rotate like table legs, so they become small, slightly blunt stabbing devices. When we first got them we took them away from our child because she thought it was best to put them upside down and rotate them. ever, which just wasn't safe for her. When she got a bit older and started using it mainly as a stool (sometimes a table, sometimes a block) we gave her one back but she still wanted to pick it up and move it or turn it around. In particular, since they don't have a minimum age requirement, I recommend using some caution when introducing them, or waiting until they're older. Or choosing stools with sturdier legs will cushion the effects of a fall (and reduce the likelihood of eye injuries).
