Fits 2006 Chevy HHR. Check out some basic tips on how to match this car. break tabs!

So when I first brought this to the car I was like oh no, this doesn't fit! But then after playing around with it a bit I found that it has tabs that can be broken. You don't have to cut them! All you have to do is take a pair of pliers and bend them and they will snap into place perfectly. I think that's what it's made for. I tried cutting them off and everything, but then I tried pliers and nothing bad happened. The connectors work great with the wiring on the car. Happy with it. So, another piece of advice I would like to mention is that there are 3 mounting holes to fix the bracket to the car door. One on top that fits in the original hole and then 2 on the sides that need pre-drilling if you want to use them. Actually I doubt you really need them but I went ahead and drilled holes and used some self tapping screws. But in hindsight I'd like to snap off the piece closest to the door gap because once you put the door panels back on that screw the bracket piece will get in the way a bit. This won't get the door panel quite right, but everything looks fine. But if I were to do it again I would snap off one side and just not use it so the door panel doesn't get in the way. The 6.5 inch speakers used, the old ones that come with these cars, were outdated and didn't work. It seems everyone has this problem with these cars. So if your speakers don't work but the front speakers above the dashboard do, simply replace the speakers. Fixed the problem, now everything works. Thank you for reading. It's not that hard to get this to work, but it was a bit intimidating at first. Once started, that's no problem.
