I have all carbon steel knives from Global, Shun, Henkel, Wusthoff, Bob Cramer, Japanese handmade knives. and so on, the price was never an issue. I was in town with my daughter for a cooking class the other day and had the pleasure of using a Mercer Genisis knife. - Well balanced, incredibly sharp and an absolute workhorse. On the way home I stopped at Revane's and looked at her. To my surprise, I was able to get an amazing 5 piece set for only $135. They arrived today and they are amazing, I bought a set for my daughter. Great knives, you won't be disappointed
