Review on BaBylissPRO Titanium Bambino Compact Dryer by Rachel Marie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for international travel but I would have preferred a full size model with dual voltage capability.

First off, I'm comparing the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium compact dryer "in bad faith" to the BaBylissPRO Ceramix Xtreme dryer that I also own (I have three of these models - one in each bathroom and one for travel). The second dryer, the BaBylissPRO Ceramix Xtreme dryer, is a full-size professional dryer. I was expecting a similar experience with both BaByliss models, but that's not the case. First of all, the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Compact Dryer is very small, about the size of the palm of my hand, and when fully open it fits almost perfectly in a larger full-size model - the size of the Nano Titanium is obviously great for travel! And I can confirm that it works well on both 110v and 220v provided the switch on the handle is set correctly. Although you still need an adapter (not a converter) to connect your dryer to different types of outlets around the world. But I like the full size Ceramix Xtreme hair dryer because of the volume and speed of air it expels. In comparison, the Nano Titanium's air volume and speed, while excellent (!) for its size, are more in line with most typical dryers. Consequently, it takes much longer to dry the hair. When we recently vacationed in Europe and dried three to four heads a day, the Nano Titanium dryer wasn't our first choice. We were better served with a 220v to 110v AC converter connected to a full size Ceramix Xtreme dryer. In summary, less air volume and slower speed determine my overall rating. Otherwise, the Nano Titanium is a good hair dryer overall, especially for traveling around the world given its dual voltage capability. I would have preferred a full-size model with dual-voltage capability.
