Review on Hikvision 4MP EXIR PoE Turret IP Outdoor Surveillance Camera, DS-2CD2342WD-I 2.8mm Lens - White by Jake Meyer

I connected 12 Hikvision cameras to a 16 channel Hikvision NVR. All bought from an authorized dealer. One (mini dome model) had the IR filter stuck after 5 years so I wanted to replace it. Comparing this camera and the packaging it came in to everyone else I see nothing to indicate that this is not a genuine US model. Connected to my DVR, it automatically configured and started working immediately. Got into the dashcam menu and adjusted all recording settings and everything worked as expected. I haven't tried updating the firmware, but the current version is so new compared to my other cameras that I doubt I'll ever mess with it. I chose Vigilant Depot as my supplier. As for the camera itself, I prefer the tower to the dome. . They have a much better night vision range and don't need to be cleaned as often. Water stains appear on the domes every time it rains heavily, resulting in blurry images in night mode. The tower does not have this problem.
