This part is very powerful and smooth without being too loud. To update. I only used it briefly after purchasing it. Yesterday I used it extensively, or at least tried. He's destroyed a lot of belts, and those things don't come cheap. Tried different manufacturers of belts and center punches, all had problems. I noticed a few things. The front roller gets very hot and is not perfectly round. It has some strange cut marks. This seems to cause the sander to skip moves and the whole sander is not smooth enough, there is a constant "knock-knock-knock" noise, and you can even see it in the dust pattern left on the board , when you move. And yes, I connected it to the dust collector. Also, there is an odd protrusion on the rubber reading roll. Toolmarts won't take it back because it's been a few months since I bought it so I won't be buying from them again. Now I have to take it to the local repair center which will no doubt waste several hours of my time.
