Great watch for tracking your activity and training

and it did what I needed. I run several times a week and do strength training. I'm just a regular guy trying to stay sane and for that this watch is just great. This would probably be great for those who are serious about preparing for an event as it gives you lots of data. I've been using the watch for about a month. The Polar Flow app works great and makes it easy to track your workouts. During and after exercise you can track your heart rate, calories, energy sources, time and distance. For activities like walking and running, you can view your route, minutes/miles, cadence, and maximum heart rate zones. You also have the option to add notes to your workout. GPS works accurately. I ran the same course three times and displayed distances of 5.34 miles, 5.33 miles, and 5.34 miles. I think just 1/100 difference between 3 sessions is pretty accurate. Being able to control the audio from your phone is handy. With the watch, you can leave your phone in your pocket and adjust the volume, skip forward or backward, and pause what you're listening to. Interesting data on sleep. I think for the most part it gives an accurate estimate of your sleep. However, there were a couple of times I think he missed. Overall I think it's just an interesting addition to the watch. I usually know if I slept well or not. This watch has a lot of features that I won't be using, but for tracking your workouts and getting data to look at, it works really well. Oh, it shows the time too.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can't remember but I upgraded the Polar A370
