Ultra powder fabric softener with vanilla and lavender scent makes my clothes and towels perfectly soft in the washing machine. I have also been using it for many years with great pleasure both in laundries and in my father's washing machine. It comes in a strong, durable plastic case that won't break, and the handle fits comfortably in your hand, making it easy to carry too. But that's not all. Once you unscrew the lid, you can turn the lid upside down to use as a dosing cup. I like my clothes to be very soft, so I use at least a full cup. Those with itchy skin who want very soft clothing and towels should use a full cup. Contains biodegradable fabric softeners; and if you wash items that are bright red or similar, Downy will not fade them. Unfortunately, there is a downside: DO NOT use Downy fabric softener when washing flame retardant garments. This reduces the fire resistance of the clothing. This is especially true for children's sleepwear or flame retardant garments. Textiles containing fleece and terry should also not be washed with this product. Down fabric softener makes these fleece and terry products more flammable; and that is undesirable. If you're sensitive to smells or perfumes, try Downy in an unscented form. All in all, Downy's vanilla and lavender scented fabric softener is pretty much the best brand if you're looking to soften your clothes in the washing machine. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants their laundry to be really nice and soft; Fluffy fabric softener can be even more helpful if you have hard water. It may be lacking in relation to some fireproof garments; but they can always be washed separately.
