The product is good but the remote control doesn't work

The product was easy to use since we hung it on the front window. When we started using the remote the off button didn't work, and then when we unplugged and plugged the power adapter back in when we were ready to use the light at night, the mode number changed to keep the light on . It changes every time we connect the power supply. We turned off the light with the remote but it didn't work.
