While they're durable, reliable, and easy to use, they're NOT versatile. I snapped one into a Subaru seat belt receiver and now it's permanent. It can't be removed - with pliers and a LOT of pulling, but to no avail. Now I have to remove it from the factory base under the seat and buy a replacement seat belt receiver to install in my car. Buyers beware - check the locking pattern before inserting. Seems like a great product but it doesn't work for my machine. I think assigning a seat to your dog is fine, but if your back seat is also used for people, you might be in the same position as me about buying a new harness receiver.
