My Cabin Deserves Better

I've been a fan of Riedel stemless cabernet wine glasses for years and thought I'd think outside the box and try these different looking wine glasses. Wrong, I should have stuck with what I love! These jars have about the same capacity as Cabernet jars but are slightly smaller. The only thing I liked about the Swirl goggles is the curve in the middle as it is easier to hold in hand and also looks unique. What I didn't like is that the hole is much smaller than my Cabernet glasses. It wouldn't really be a big problem, except that I like to hand wash these glasses (we have very hard water) and dry them right away. However, I can't get inside these jars to dry them with a towel or paper towel (and I promise I have normal sized female hands, not big hands like in the very funny Seinfeld episode). Also, I think the hole needs to be bigger to give the wine a breather. Second, these glasses are thicker than my cabernet glasses. I don't know why, but I don't like thick glasses. A thick glass will damage my wine! So if you can live with a smaller opening and don't mind thicker glass, you'll probably love these wine glasses. I didn't bother going back, instead letting my son use it as juice glasses in his college apartment. I will use them when I visit as they are not the worst glasses in the world but my taxi regularly deserves better. Moral of this review: Stick to what you know and love in your box.
