Review on Enhance Connectivity with Coolgear Metal 7-Port USB 2.0 Powered Hub for PC-MAC by Chris Barreto

Bought 2 of these for a critical install with a 2013 iMac 27 and a 4TB UASP enabled external drive/enclosure set. Side dressed in 2 positions, 3 on 1st port and 2 on 2nd port. The biggest problem was not slowing down the new drives. Very few hubs come with a quality power supply, an uplink-B connector, and a hardshell case. In my case, the screw-on case design was a big plus. As another reviewer noted, it's ugly. This "function over form" design was exactly what drew me to this product. The ground terminal wasn't used in my setup, but it's an interesting detail for those who will be using it on or near metal. I didn't trust the word "industrial" until I opened one to see how it was made. Marketing is everywhere these days. It can really earn that term if you pair it with quality 3.0 cables.
