I like the results and that I didn't have to work hard to get them. That's what I spent most of my time on. . that wasn't too long taped. Otherwise they worked great! They didn't need to apply glue to the back to keep the stencil looking decent. We bought a pre-made maple board from Home Depot which they cut for us. I used cheap acrylic paint from Michael's and a cheap sponge applicator. (You can tell I want to try to make it perfect. I only had to make it after it sat in my dining room while hesitating for a few months). I took them off, the paint is still slightly damp against the fibers. Wood. I took a close-up so you can see it's not the clearest or most perfect line of color. But good enough that I don't notice. And I didn't really try to make it look great. So I'm impressed. I would definitely do it again! (But it would be better if they could be stacked against each other and still lined up with my tape measure.)
