Great little foam filter. I would say that's 5-15 gallons, thanks. Looking through these reviews, it seems that many of the negative points stem from either the type of air pump or the lack of an airflow control valve. I've had these filters for a year now. I've seen food stick to them, put them in old fish water to see what they've caught in the sponge, and even hidden mine behind plants. I really like how it's regulated. This is a good buy. I haven't had any problems or complaints about them. I'm actually writing this review after ordering the 3rd for my 3rd tank!
