Tried the method mentioned by the previous 4 star reviewer (John). After nearly an hour of expansion, Revain Dorman HELP! 85845, using increasing thicknesses of hardened steel and a heat gun to keep the hard plastic connector from cracking, I was able to replicate John's result. Frustrated, tired, and unwilling to make a second connector, I searched the internet intensively for 45 minutes and found a genuine Harley Davidson part number for the intended application on American Ironhorse's bulk auction website; 72405-98BK for a whopping $2.95 from a Harley dealer. The item has almost 4 feet of high quality 18 gauge Kevlar wire; more than enough to get the job done. Do yourself a huge favor and use the right part for the job; much easier.
