The dog likes them, otherwise he wouldn't let them on my paws. I bought these because our garden got a bit muddy during the fall rains and doesn't have a dog bathing area like in the summer (outdoors and with a garden hose). In autumn, winter and spring we can no longer do this because of the frost. Our back door leads straight into the kitchen, so we need something to keep his paws clean when the weather doesn't allow us to brush them outside. He's also having bouts of allergic reactions and we want to make sure it's not something he's picking up on the outside. Therefore we can keep his paws isolated from the ground if that irritates him. They are NOT as waterproof as I would like them to be. You will get wet but clean in the booties. They slide very well/easily over the dog's paw and the Velcro straps allow the booties to be quickly rolled up or unfolded while controlling tightness. They have not slipped in the time we have used them so far. In order for them to slide over the foot, thumb and claw behind the front legs, you need to undo the velcro as much as possible. Undo the black ankle strap (it will stretch) and slide it over your foot, being careful not to catch at the back temples. Make sure they are loaded too! The Velcro wraps around the ankle between the temple and the underside of the rearmost ball of the foot.
