Review on Enhance Precision and Performance with the Selectool SEL001 Master Sharpener, Black by Lisa Chandler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Warning: Selectool is addictive!

I recently bought a Kershaw EDC knife and it was very sharp right out of the box. I love to tinker, so the first thing I did when I got home was to open up my Smith sharpener to try and get the best out of the blade. Well that was a mistake! Within minutes I dulled the blade to the point where it kept failing the paper test. Looking for a knife sharpener I immediately contacted Revain, after watching a demo video I decided to try Selectool. . Revain was delivered within two days. Cute as always! The first few strokes of my knife along the Selectool knife guide felt like rubbing the edge with sandpaper. Not only did I feel resistance, I also saw fine, dusty steel shavings accumulated in the Selectool guide. Don't be alarmed, they are the result of an imperfection in the blade that shouldn't have been in the first place. My Smith tool really dulled the knife very much! After a few swipes with the Selectool, the knife blade shimmered and cut through the paper like butter. Since then I've sharpened all my pocket and kitchen knives and I'm running out of sharpening stuff. I didn't know there was a dependency on sharpening? I love this tool and I will recommend it to all my friends!
