The great thing about these pipes is that they are almost invisible and look great in a rimless aquarium. What doesn't make the product worth the price is: the holes on the inlet pipe are small and there are very few of them. As a result, the ability to suck up debris is minimal, leaving the water looking cloudy and full of particles. You will need to go back to the original tubes that came with the filter (PENN-Plax 500) which do a good filter job but not with these tubes. I can live with unsightly pipes or muddy water for now. Second, the Lili tube outlet tabs for suction cups are fixed (you can't choose the angle you can rotate the tube sideways, for example). Therefore, Lili's drainpipe points straight ahead and reflects the aquarium light at its edge, which is distracting and annoying. to deaden the noise (sounds like running water in a toilet) and the water movement is superficial. Disappointed with the product I hope the company improves their product otherwise I really don't think they are worth it. They are as designed.
