The fan is modern, stylish and very quiet. Installation is moderately easy if you're handy. The nice thing is that the blades fold over - espresso chocolate on one side or black on the other. The fan is also very durable - it does not wobble during operation. The electrical connections can be a little intimidating, but you'll be fine if you take your time and read the instructions (there's a remote receiver that needs to be plugged in - I wasn't expecting that). The two LED bulbs included with the fan provide enough light for a small to medium-sized room. Note: You need a remote control to control the lights and change the fan speed; There is no pull chain on the fan itself and the only switch is inside the lamp housing to change direction. In addition, you can dim the light by pressing and holding the power button on the remote control. The best I can say about the remote control is that it works. I like that there is a separate button for each speed (low, medium, high, off) compared to shifting through gears with a pull chain. It comes with a mounting stand that can be mounted over the wall switch. The remote control can be easily removed from the stand if you wish to keep it with you. Be careful - the style of the remote control doesn't match the style of the fan; it has an odd shape and a disgusting putty color. Now for the reason I gave it a low rating. I had trouble installing one of the fan blades. When inserting one of the blades into one of the slots, I could not get the blade to sit flush with the iron blade. At first I thought the blade was bent. Rather than disassembling the entire fan, I removed the faulty blade (it comes pre-installed) to see if I could bend it in place. Upon closer inspection and comparing it to another blade iron, I found that the blade iron wasn't the problem. The problem is that the slot in the motor assembly is misaligned! I've attached two images and a video to illustrate the point. The two pictures show the difference between a good cut and a bad cut. The video shows the fan rotating (it is slowed down in the video to better see the problem). There is a red stripe there that serves as a guide for rotating the blade. Three blades touch the bar and one of the blades goes through the bar; The pass blade is what is in the bad slot. To install it, I threaded the blade through the slot, attached it to the blade, THEN attached the blade back to the motor. So it works, but you can see the downside. Basically I should have just sent it back but I was very hot (hence the need for a fan), tired and didn't want to suffer. The hunter really needs to work on quality control.
