I really like this knife! This is my 2nd just because I lost the 1st move. No matter what kind of work, bread, meat, vegetables, this is a knife for the whole family. I actually threw away most of our knives because of this versatile guy, we just don't use him anymore. That's an average weight and he always maintains it! Be careful, it's deceptively spicy! I have a knife sheath. The handle is made of wood, so do not wash it in the dishwasher or leave it in water for a while. It is easy to hand wash and dry. Well worth the money and makes a great gift too.
