We were building a new chicken coop and needed something to protect the hardwood floor when our original vinyl tile was bent over corners for the first time it was getting cold - even before we could put the chickens in. I risked this product and loved it. We stapled a few overlapping strips across the bottom. Looks good - we can see the wood through the plast-o-mat. It doesn't smell like many plastic products. It was easy to wash off, although a bit slippery for the hens, before we put pine shavings and straw on top for bedding. Chickens have been living in the coop for a month now and even their natural habit of scratching the litter with their claws doesn't change this product. The temperature fluctuated between the low 70's and low 20's without affecting the Plast-o-mat. Will definitely be used for future projects.
