Review on Innovative inTank All-in-One Aquarium Surface Skimmer – Enhance Your Aquatic Cleaning Experience! by Angel Caldwell

I think this item did a great job of reducing the skimming effect on my Innovative Marine Fusion 14 to generate peninsula. My goal was to soften the surface foam and reduce the need for a protein skimmer. However, the list of disadvantages is as follows: 1) The retaining clip does not allow the use of a tight-fitting aquarium lid at the same time. This is a deal breaker if you want to protect your investment in fish. 2) This item, like all of their InTank items, is overpriced. I've since decided to make my own for a few bucks using black acrylic and silicone a square. I'm sure there are probably other, less permanent, ways to secure it in place. I have a media tank for my Fluval Spec V and I love it. But then again the price is too high and I could make my own that would work just as well. I also bought a filter cap for my Fusion 14 but sent it back again when I realized I paid for a piece of plastic that didn't fit the data point at all how I wanted it. Please stop hyping us InTank lovers.
