Due to the size, these sheets will be stiff when you take them out of the box. I have washed these sheets with towels and cloth sheets and they have softened a bit. The sheet is deep enough to fit my 12 inch memory foam mattress and the elastic is well made. All reviews say it's not. Percale (loom type, not cotton type) they are wrong. I took a macro shot of these sheets and it shows the classic square percale stitch. I'm tired of microfiber towels because they don't breathe and they are also 100% cotton. I think it's a great price and you can really see the difference on hot summer nights.
