Our garage is very narrow and we have a log wall about 3 feet from the floor to the start of the drywall - the perfect height for the edge of my car door when I'm not. Hold it gently and try to squeeze it out of the car. I installed a short piece of this right where my door would normally meet the wall. I love peace of mind. I'm still trying to stop him from slamming, but he's saved the door multiple times. It sticks VERY well to concrete blocks. It has been standing for a few months - because of the summer heat here in the south and also now that the rainy season is starting. It is still firmly glued to the log wall.
