This is a good idea but requires a monoblock of more than 300w/s to get good results. I need to invest in one before I can put it to good use. The color filters work well with it, and the light pattern inserts allow you to create different shapes of light, but I wish there were more. For example many tiny stars. It would be easier to focus for a sharp image if the slit setting were spiral rather than straight. A fully adjustable aperture wouldn't hurt either. Focusing on a sharp spot of light is possible, but it would be easier with a spiral slit. Focusing should be done with full modeling light output. Then you need a monoblock with more than 300 W/s, I'm thinking about 1000 W/s, but that might be a bit of an exaggeration. 300 W/s at full power are very low here.
