I've been using these gloves for many, many years. Always alone, never as a liner. Yes, they're thicker than in previous years, but still offer a degree of warmth in situations where dexterity is required, such as working with tools or handling a camera. I also use them for jogging, hiking and driving. The dots ensure a good grip, especially on the steering wheel. They fit very well in a jacket pocket and on hikes I often take two pairs with me to have a backup. The only problem, if you can even call it that, is that modern smartphones aren't electronic tips, so you have to take them off to use your phone. However, I love them for what they are!
