These water shoes combine the best of what I love. They are easy to put on with elastic laces. A device that holds the strings in place also works without any problems. Don't underestimate how much more comfortable the soles of these shoes are compared to sock-like water shoes. I can actually walk in the sand a bit with them and the rocks won't hurt. The soles have ventilation holes for easy water drainage. They will replace a similar pair I take on cruises and it's great to be able to walk around in my water shoes on vacation. I haven't taken them to the lake yet, but tried them on. They fit a bit too long so I could easily go down a half size or so. Since I don't wear socks with it, I would suggest going down a bit.
