I had no intention of checking this like most other digital cables; they either work or they don't. I usually don't really bother with high-end features for the same reason. I just bought my third of these, first it was 3ft to connect my TV to the indoor antenna, then 10ft to connect to the outdoor antenna control box and now 20ft to connect to the outdoor antenna after the antenna cable too will. came with a tear trying to iron out the crease. When I realized that the control unit was not receiving a signal from the antenna, I knew the 10 foot version of this cable I had would work as a control test because I knew it would just work. The last two times I've bought these cables I don't think much about what brand I got. This is the 3rd time I'm buying this particular cable knowing that it's made from high quality materials that won't break like the cheap POS cable that came with the antenna. The coating is nice, thick, and durable, and the threaded connectors are a lot easier to work with compared to almost every other coaxial cable I've come across, providing just enough grip to connect your fingers. Yes, cheaper coax cables. sends the same digital signal, but if you're not interested in troubleshooting or damaging it, save yourself the hassle and just use this one. It's not even that much more expensive.
